Player Character's (PC's)
Player Characters constitute the majority of the characters in the Wizard's Wardrobe. They are created, owned and roleplayed by a specific member, and may not be used by another player without the owner's permission. Members may have multiple PC’s so long as each PC meets the minimum activity requirements.

All PC's must complete Chargen before roleplaying in the Wizard's Wardrobe. The Chargen system will help create a well-rounded character as well as provide background and abilities for that character.

Non-Player Character's (NPC's)
Non-Player Characters are used to fill in where Player Characters are not available or practical. They may be created to meet a one-time need, or they may be permanent or recurring characters that appear from time to time as needed.

Any member may create an NPC to supplement their roleplaying. NPC's do not need to complete Chargen, but they must be roleplayed realistically. NPC's used repeatedly may be added to an NPC database for reference and other members' use. All NPC's are available for any member to use unless the NPC has been reserved by the Admin.

The Admin may reserve NPC's that are key characters but are not currently played by a specific member. Only Admin may reserve an NPC, and only Admin or players with Admin approval may use a reserved NPC.

Members abusing the NPC privilege may have it suspended by the Admin.

Feature Character's (FC's)
Feature Characters are characters that appear in the HP series. They will enter the Wizard's Wardrobe at designated times. Our story line, however, will not necessarily follow what is outlined in the books.

Feature Characters are intended to supplement the regular roleplaying of our members, not to overshadow or dominate storylines or other characters. We consider PC's to be the foundation of our world, and as such they will carry the prominent roles in major storylines.

The purpose of FC's is to help initiate and steer major storylines. FC's may be open for application or may be appointed by the Admin. FC's will be given to players who have proven themselves competent in roleplaying, respectful of other players, and knowledgeable of the character. These players must be able to follow specific guidelines, commit to high activity levels, and be willing to work under the Admin's guidance to help promote major storylines.
