Student Application Guidelines

New Students
After reading the site guidelines, players should register a forum profile and complete the Chargen application. Once Chargen has been completed, it should be submitted to the Admin, who will review it and either approve or suggest any needed changes. After a character has been approved, the student will be sent a list of school supplies appropriate for the year they are beginning.

Once their application and Chargen have been approved, students must complete the following tasks before the Term begins:

Joining Beginning of Term
The Hogwarts Express, Sorting Ceremonies and start of term banquets will be held on specified dates. Students with approved characters may participate in these at that time. These events will have specific cut-off times, after which, new posts will not be allowed.

Players that miss the any of events OOCly will be expected to roleplay, however, as if their character had attended.

Joining mid-Term
Applications are currently accepted at any point in the year, although the Admin reserve the right to change this policy at any time. If an application is accepted mid-term, the player will be expected to RP as if their character had begun at start of term.

Returning Student Applications
Returning Students in good standing will be automatically admitted for the following term and need not reapply. Returning students must e-mail the Admin each school year that they plan to attend, upon which they will be sent the list of school supplies for their current year.

Each school year, returning students must complete the following tasks before the Term begins.

Students who return mid-term are expected to e-mail the Admin first and then roleplay as if they had attended from the start of the term.
